Band of Angels
Thank you to all who provided for our bake sale -- the variety was great and very tasty. Thank
you to those who purchased goodies -- the bake sale raised $95 which was put into our treasury for future programs. Lunch at the Hollander Hotel was attended by 16 ladies. We had fellowship, laughter and good
food. It was nice to visit with each other in a more casual environment. It's
not too soon to plan for the Fall Gathering at Lake Yale in Leesburg, FL. Save the date, November
11-13. Watch the bulletin board for registration information and workshop choices. The next formal meeting will be held on Sunday, August 21 following worship. Please note the change of date.
There is a lot to discuss and plan for the fall months.

Team Trinity
Thank you to the volunteers who maintain our Food and Clothing
Pantry. There has been an increase in community participation; we have about 30-35 people each week who are
served. We can always use food (with pop tops) and hygiene products. If you are able, please drop off donations
to the pantry Tuesdays or Fridays between 10:00 a.m. and noon or bring them to church on Sunday and place them in the red
bucket found in the Narthex. Looking ahead, there are two service projects coming in September. God's
Work our Hands weekend is September 10 and 11; we need ideas of how bet to get involved.
The annual AIDS Partnership dinner will be at Good Samaritan Church, 6085 Park Blvd, Pinellas
Park on Wednesday, September 21 at 600 p.m. Please watch the bulletin board for details.
God's blessings,
Lynne Tallon Council Liaison

Our Sew 'N Sews group donated twelve hand made quilts to two St. Petersburg organizations:
Ronald Mc Donald House and CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse) shelter for victims of domestic violence.
They were most happily and gratefully received by representatives of these organizations. Anne Ruhl and Jan Dorr made the
deliveries in February.
They were told that the children, especially, were so happy to be able to choose a quilt to have for
their very own.
Our membership is down to a handful of individuals,
but we continue meeting on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 to design our quilt tops, cut batting to fit, and find a
backing for our design and bind it all together. Then we just tack the three layers together and we’re done and ready
for the annual blessing of the quilts. The folks at Ronald McDonald House and CASA have gratefully received them for the
past two years.
This process actually takes little skill, though we keep on improving as we go. Come join
us. If you aren’t free on Wednesdays, or regularly at all, would you be interested in helping by sewing together pre-cut
squares? We could pack up some matching designs for helpers to take home and sew together, just straight sewing machine seams,
and those who are present on Wednesdays, could sew the strips into appropriate lengths and designs for new quilts. We’d
appreciate any help at all. See Anne Ruhl, Janet Crim, or Norma Heinicke with any questions. – Norma Heinicke
The group has its own room on the lower level of the annex. When
we did the remodeling, a room was set aside for this group, sufficient electrical power was added, and the room gained heating
and air conditioning. Come see the beautiful creations!
