Sunday Morning Bible
Study It seems like the Sunday morning
Bible study has been pondering the end of the world for an eternity! We’ve looked at the stories of the flood
and of Sodom and Gomorrah in the book of Genesis. We’ve learned about the destruction of Jerusalem by both the Babylonians
and the Romans, and how that influenced our understanding of God’s will and God’s ways. We’ve unpacked all
of the prophets’ predictions of impending doom, and tried to decipher the cryptic clues of books like Daniel and Second
Esdras. All of this was done to lay the groundwork for our
study of the most famous account of the end of the world—the book of Revelation. If you’ve ever had questions
about this mysterious text, we hope we can answer many of them together beginning on Sunday, July 17, at 9 a.m. Whether
you’ve been reading the Bible all your life or have only recently taken it down off the shelf, you will have something
to contribute to and learn from studying the Bible with other Christians. If Revelation has confused or frightened you
in the past, there’s good news. An “apocalypse” is a good thing. Really. If you don’t believe that,
then come study Revelation on Sunday mornings at nine.
